- veehexxAspirantunless someone knows better, then no.
ime, transmission removes the folders it creates which include the .resume and temp file locations.
when i reinstall transmission I rename \\nas\addons-config\transmission\ folder to avoid this.
just to be clear, it wont erase destination locations like your download folder... so it is just transmission only locations. - sjwAspirantOK thanks. :)
- veehexxAspirant..i guess it could be possible with data recovery tools, but i bet thats way more hassle than to just re-download the torrents :)
- sjwAspirantYes, it wasn't a big problem - just the .torrent files I think. It will then do a re-check. He says.....
- super_poussinVirtuoso2.04 is out :)
this is my last release, I will take some vacation and will be back in september
so do not worry if I do not answer vacation = no internet - veehexxAspirantexcellent. thanks SP!
& have a good holiday! - sdouekGuideAny one with a good understanding of how you can use transmission with demoniod. Maybe a step by step guide. i.e. where to copy files to, creating a torrent and so on.
Thanks ahead of time - veehexxAspirant@ sdouek, i dont use demoniod, but it looks like a standard tracker site. click download, add .torrent the transmission watch folder (you need to enable this in the .conf file), and job done?
creating a torrent can be done by clicking the 'create torrent' button in frontview > services > installed addons > transmission.
it's obvious what it's asking you.
once you have the newly created .torrent file, upload to demoniod as per their upload instructions and you should be able to seed sucessfully.
don't forget to open the transmission data port (51413 by default) on your routers firewall.
i hope i dont come across as treating you like an idiot, not my intention at all - just covering the basics first :) - sdouekGuide@ sdouek, i dont use demoniod, but it looks like a standard tracker site. click download, add .torrent the transmission watch folder (you need to enable this in the .conf file), and job done?
I cannot find this this .conf file to edit, please elaborate
I was able to do the rest. - veehexxAspirantthe .conf file that the addon (or atleast on the sparc addon) says to edit in frontview :)
im not infront of frontview, but it's something like /c/addons-config/transmission/transmission.conf
as the addon states, you do *NEED* to have transmission daemon stopped before you edit it.
you can access it via either windows CIFS share (\\nasIP\addons-config\), or via SSH using vi as the editor.
on my .conf file, it's the last line - something about enable watch folder. default is 0. set it to 1. the line above it is the watch folder itself. (media/bittorrent/source)
and finally, save any .torrent files to the media/bittorrent/source location, and transmission will auto add it :)
