- terskyAspirantHi I don't know if this is the right forum for questions, but I try and have me exused if I'm wrong.
I have PMS installed on my ReadyNas Duo V2. When I watch movies, it works fine on my local network using Plex client on a Win7 pc as long as I disable "Force transcoding on local network" in Preferences - Network. Enabeling it, I get the message "Error could not read data from file". Sharing my videos over internet does not work eighter, as they get the same error-message.
Anyone got a suggestion for this? :-) - sphardy1ApprenticeTranscoding is not currently supported on ARM based devices like the Duo v2. As transcoding is automatically used when streaming via internet, that is why you get the same error

Same symptom on x86 device.(Pro) I think I got this issue after updated to 0.9.6.3 - sphardy1ApprenticeThere was some issue with the original Linux build of 0.9.6.3 but I don't remember the details - an update was released to address this so make sure you have the very latest

I resolved problem. I checked "Device supports HLS" option in plex app, then it streaming video as before! - Ferdi1Aspirant

I can't seem to find that setting. Where should I find it? - FerdinandAspirantI just tried installing the ARM version on a NV+ v2 and I get a "bad architecture" error (downloaded it from http://www.plexapp.com/linux/linux-pms-download.php)
Should I be able to install it through the dashboard or should it be installed manually? - sphardy1Apprentice"bad architecture" means that you are trying to install the addon for a NAS with different processor architecture - eg the x86 version.
Check that you have downloaded the correct installer; also are you 100% certain you have an NV+ v2? (The original NV+ is not ARM based and there is no Plex addon for that NAS) - spinaltap1AspirantI'm getting the same 'bad architecture' warning when trying to install this too.
I've checked on the PLEX website, and this is the correct 0.9.6.7.204-266f05d-arm.bin file for Duo.v2 (the one immediately below the Intel file) - http://www.plexapp.com/linux/linux-pms-download.php
Edit: downloaded an earlier 0.9.6.3.140-9c9f5ce-arm.bin version and that uploads fine - but that's about it, as trying to manage the PLEX Media Server does nothing more than open a blank webpage, warning that PLEX cannot connect to the server/router.
Added Edit: Restarting the NV+.v2 enabled the proper management of PLEX Media Manager. - sphardy1ApprenticeThen perhaps the wrong binary has been posted on the Plexapp site - I'd recommend you report it.
