So, I finally got RSS with transmission with growl push notifications working on the readynas nv+ v2. I got tired of waiting for a solution and took matters in my own hand. I currently use it to download a bunch of TV shows from a private torrent sites rss feed.
After som forum scooping, I found out that the application Automatic was not available for the ARM platform. I messaged WhoCares? and asked him if there was any plans to port Automatic to the ARM version and he was kind enough to send me a beta version of it for ARM. I tried to set it up but found out it had a problem that you can't specify the path of your downloaded stuff and there is no support for notifications. As I use my NAS as a XBMC media server, I have all the shows in specific folders and all my movies in another folder. So after additional reading in the forum, the solution was flexget. It requires that you SSH into the NAS and execute commands manually. Unfortunately their readynas guide is for the sparc platform, but with some modifications on the installation you could actually get it to work on the ARM platform (im using it).
So I just followed this guide http://flexget.com/wiki/InstallWizard/ReadyNAS
Follow all the instructions, but exchange the ./configure --build=sparc-linux to ./configure --build=arm-linux for both the sqlite and python installation.
There also was some commands that was unrecognized but all you have todo is to
apt-get install "missing command"
in order to use it.
Now I can use the NAS as I originally intended!

Hi,
Draggin up an old thread.
I tried recently to put Flexget together, but stuffed things up completely and had to factory reset my NAS, loosing all my data in the meantime. Oh well, these things happen.
But, being persistant, further searching brought me to this thread. I like the idea of build=arm-linux instead of build=sparc linux. I did not think of that, as I do have a ReadyNAS 102 ARM device. duh :smileyfrustrated:
I had most of my dramas installing Python. Everytime I was missing some dependency or command or whatever, I tried installing myself. Thats where I undone things I think, just got way out of control! Maybe build=arm-linux will help in this area?
Another question. I have MySql Server installed (by Poussin) to host the database for my Kodi (XBMC) library. Do I still need to install sqlite? Will it conflict with MySql Server?
Thanks
