[req] Subsonic
http://www.subsonic.org/pages/index.jsp
appears to be GPL/open source, music streamer.. similar/same as orb but looks much more flexible and open.
assuming its possible, would love to see this available for x86 devices to stream directly from nas

- RedDeathAspirantIs it possible to get to the install files on the NAS for this app? I run subsonic on a home server and just picked up a ultranas 4 that I want to move the databases over to.
Also can you change the default port on this version?
Thanks! - super_poussinVirtuoso

If you like my add-ons please donate :) - RedDeathAspirantI think I worded my question like a moron...
I have subsonic installed... but I don't know how to actually copy over the database server... been searching the forums and It looks like I have to get to a "c" admin share but I can't get my net use command to map it right... - RedDeathAspirantI figured out how to get to my C admin share, however if I edit the subsonic preferences file it doesn't change the default server port. I need to use a nonstandard port for various firewall reasons...
Thanks! - are editing subsonic.sh file ?
- RedDeathAspirantYep... changing the port= line from 4040 to the new port, then saving with notepad++ to keep any special formatting that exists... still forces out port 4040.... I need to change that port due to firewall restrictions beyond my control.
- I assume you have stopped and restarted subsonic in the frontview > services > addons pages after making the change?
I'll see if mine will change tonite.
I edit it with nano via ssh. - @ s-p, the thread @ viewtopic.php?f=48&t=45661 is missing the 1.5 download link

I take that back... I was editing the subsonic base preference file... which also has a port= statement (in my windows server I edited this in the past).
Thank you SOOOOOOO much for your help... you have no idea how much I missed having my subsonic up... makes work bearable :) - dcuellarAspirantLet me see if I understand the process here. You are basically porting subsonic to readynas, right? What happens when subsonic updates their app?
And what is the latest version for readynas?
