Request for SOCKS5 support on any P2P torrent client

You can also make your own Socks 5 Proxy SERVER with the NAS since its a Linux box. You need to do it with the RootSSH addon and research how to do that. But its possible - you wouldnt need to forward a port to the NAS.
However as for the NAS being a SOCK5 client, not going to happen most likely, ITS THE SOFTWARE that you need to have it happen with inside. We have no control of the software - the 3rd party addons that are made - that need that feature.
For example, you need to send a feature request to Transmittion to include SOCKS5 support on their READYNAS ADDON. Also another powerful torrent tool, possible to install on nas is Rtorrent with Rutorrent GUI BUT it doesnt support Socks5
