Transmission error ...

Hi, new to the ReadyNas and transmission. Transmission has been working fine for a few months, but it suddenly started giving me the error message below and will not start/display. I've re-started Transmission several times to no effect. I tried to follow a similiar post about fixing this problem, but got lost! I cannot get into the /addons-config/Transmission/transmission-daemon/settings.json file. When I try to access either the "addons-config" subdirectory or the "webroot" directory on the ReadyNas, it keep asking for a password - but my normal password doesn't work. Really frustrated at this point - could someone help me out with this problem, please? Thanks.

Unauthorized IP Address.
Either disable the IP address whitelist or add your address to it.
If you're editing settings.json, see the 'rpc-whitelist' and 'rpc-whitelist-enabled' entries.
If you're still using ACLs, use a whitelist instead. See the transmission-daemon manpage for details.
