Wordpress - Error establishing a database connection
Hi guys, I have been trying to get wordpress up and running for about a day. I followed the wordpress guide exactly, then found i needed to provide an updated PHP, which i obtained from ReadyNas...

I've seen this error reported online a lot too.......
mysqladmin shutdown
mysql &
I get
mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)'
Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' exists!
