Add 2 smaller disks ReadyNas v2 nv+
Hi, Ive got the ReadyNAS V2 NV+ with 2pcs of 3TB NAS disks... Now, I would like to add my 2 pieces of old Samsung Raidable 600GB disks as well... Currently I'm using X-RAID. Do I have to re-install...

yes.
Do I need to use another RAID version to do this?
yes.
My Ultimate Solution (how can I get closest to this):
-2x 3TB Disks running in X-RAID, Width redundant Data (equals 3TB of usable storage)
-2x 600GB Old Samsung Disks, used as one big 1.2TB Unit.
you would have to factory default (erases any data still on the disks, so backup first).
**** in my opinion all this work is not worth the effort, I would suggest you buy another 3tb drive and let it expand the x-raid volume instead of trying to use 2 old and small drives. *****
with all disks you want to use in the device, factory default, install and run RAIDAR, select FLEX-RAID mode
I've never used flex-raid mode, but I think there is a selection on what volume to create, or skip it. You should skip it if possible, since you want to create the custom volumes above.
Anyway, once booted up and in the web control panel, you should be able to go to the volumes area and delete any pre-made volume and/or create your custom volumes above.
I think you can create only 1 volume at a time, so you would need to wait for the first volume to finish sync before creating the 2nd volume.
