AFP auto mount on ReadyNAS startup (OSX 10.5.5)

I am running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and I was using autofs to automount shares.
I created the directory /afp
I added a line to the /etc/auto_master file like this:
Created the file /etc/auto_afp with something like:
You can reboot or restart the autofs by running the command:
At this point I was able to use /afp/backup to access the backup share or /afp/mac to access the mac share.
The "-ghost" on the line in the /etc/auto_master file basically puts the "backup" and "mac" directory in the /afp directory regardless of if the share is mounted or not. Without it you would no see the backup and mac directories until you accessed them and they were mounted which would make it imposable to browse to the directory.
This was working but now that I am testing it again it is not functioning.

backup -fstype=afp afp://mynas/backup
mac -fstype=afp afp://mynas/mac
