Raidar will format them or will preserve de data in this four discs? Thanks!

I've never tried it. I wouldn't do it w/o a backup!If you do attempt it, save the configuration pre-reset, and restore it post-reset. As usual, don't hot-insert when you reinstall 3-6,as the NAS will wipe the disks if you do that.

if the unit is damaged in the future, how I restore discs that contain data?If I buy a new unit, when I add my current discs the new readynas will wipe them?

If you have working disks, you can migrate them to a new (compatible) unit. For instance, another Pro - but not an RNxxx.When migrating (or in general when re-inserting) you need to power the NAS down first. If it is up and running, it will also do a drive test, then wipe it, and rebuild/resync.

You need to ensure the new unit had the same firmware version as the old before adding the disks.I'd also second StephenB's advice about backup when contemplating manoeuvres like these.

Thanks for the repliesif I take out one HD of the Readynas Pro and I connected it in the usb port of the Readynas, I can access the data from linux console?

Apply factory reset without total data erase

Hello

I have ready nas pro 6 with 6 discs:

1-2: Volume c in Raid 1
3-4: Volume d in Raid 1
5-6: Volume e in Raid 1

I don't know if this is possible:

A) I remove discs 3,4,5 & 6
B) Backup in external HD of all data of discs 1 & 2
C) Apply factory reset with only discs 1 & 2 inside ReadyNas Pro
D) Create volume C and transfer the backup of this volume to the new created volume c

My doubt is... now if I put in the discs 3,4, 5 y 6... Raidar will format them or will preserve de data in this four discs?
