Autheticate Tivo on FrontView #19084175
Hi guys,
For some reason my Tivo isn't showing up on FrontView so I can authenticate it. However my Tivo can see the ReadyNas and the media folders however it doesn't show the files (mainly avi) to allow me to transfer, I'm assuming as it hasn't be authenticated, how do I manually add the Tivo?
Thanks.

- jusdoitAspirantI have the same problem--using the same firmware and software versions on ReadyNAS Ultra 4. I just wasted well over an hour with Netgear tech support (case #19202647) with no improvement whatsoever. The tech didn't even seem to know what I was talking about regarding activating/authenticating my TiVo (even after I showed him a screenshot of what I should be seeing in Frontview (a list of the Tivos on my network). Does anyone know how I get my TiVos (I have three) to show up in Frontview so that they can be authenticated? (Yes, I have enabled ReadyDLNA and TiVo streaming by checking the checkboxes in Frontview).
- Steve_46AspirantDid either of you find a solution to your authentication issues? I have the Ultra 4 Plus and two TiVo Premiere's and didn't have any issues with the FrontView software seeing them for authentication. In addition to the ReadyDLNA setting you mentioned selecting, I have also selected the UPnP option under Discovery Services. I know this option is for devices on the network to detect the ReadyNAS but I don't know if it would have any bearing on the authentication process. Just thought I'd mention it
Although I didn't have any issues with the authentication process I am experiencing a bunch of other odd issues, one of which is when I select the ReadyNAS in the My Shows list on the TiVo there are no video files listed, not even the .tivo files that I originally transferred FROM the TiVo to the ReadyNAS. The same is true of photos and music - there is a ReadyNAS listing in the TiVo menus but no viewable or playable files show up in the respective folders. The odd thing is that I was able to see the .tivo files when I first setup ReadyDLNA link between TiVo and ReadyNAS but now I can't see any playable files from the NAS.
I have several other issues I'm going to post shortly but wanted to post this quick reply first. Let me know if you found a solution to the authentication issues.
