Backup cannot read from Windows 10 machines

Oh, and I should say, I can connect *to* the NAS just fine. It's getting the NAS to connect to the computers that's a problem.
This happens with another windows 10 box too, so it's not something particular to Hercules either.

Microsoft is starting to deprecate SMB1, and likely the Windows SMB server doesn't have it enabled.
The simplest approach is to use a backup program on the PCs (which can reach the NAS now).
Though longer term, the best option is to switch to another protocol on the Windows system. That might require installing an FTP server or NFS server package.
Or get a new NAS, and re-purpose the v2 as a NAS backup (which can use rsync, and doesn't need SMB).
