Can you update to Rsync 3.1.1 and see if that makes a difference?

I finally got round to this, updated Rsync to 3.1.1, still have the same problem.
I dug around a bit on Google and found this thread -
"ReadyNAS is trying to preserve permissions on files when transferring them over to FreeNAS, but is having a problem changing group ownership for some files (mostly OS X resource forks it looks like). Besides that looks like the files transferred over OK! You can ignore these errors, but annoyingly they'll still cause a backup job to show a "failed" status."
Someone on there mentioned “Enable FAT32 compatibility mode”, but I can’t see that option for my backup job.
Still need to figure out why ReadyNAS isn’t deleting files that are removed on the server.
Here’s the current settings -
