I am looking at doing something similar, except Pro to NVX. Biggest issue I see is that both units will be on dynamic IP addresses. Have No-IP domain for one of them, though, and could for the other if really required.
I don't think Replicate is what I want, unless I misunderstand what it can do. As I read it, it's backup software, not true duplication. While you can re-create the source from the backup, the backup can't be moved in to replace the source. If my local Pro dies, I want to drive over and get the NVX and, with nothing more than a rename and IP address reservation change. make the NVX look like the Pro once it's back on the local network.
I've got a backup running locally, but I'd like to have the backup remote. I've read of people having issues using names instead of IP addresses in FrontView backup, so therein lies my problem with dynamic IP addresses. In fact, I'm not even sure I can use a domain name as the remote host for an RSync backup and if I do whether the remote has to be running WebDAV.
