On ReadyNAS OS6, the RAID array is built with mdadm. Then a BTRFS volume is built inside that virtual service.
(For X-RAID) In case of mixed HDD capacity, there is multiple mdadm RAID arrays, concatenated into a single BTRFS volume, in "single" mode.
So the stability of RAID56 features in BTRFS (RAID5 and RAID6) is irrelevant here.
In your logs, look at mdstat.log file, you will see the mdadm arrays.
