Go to System > Config Backup. What happens if you try to download a Config Backup?
  • CIFS DISABLED ? I am not sure how this happened, my best guess is enable it again from frontview. Go to Services> Standard Protocol services >Tick the box CIFS and click apply. If it is already ticked then untick it and click apply then tick it again and click apply. Now go to the share and check if CIFS is enabled. This option is under shares> share listings > change default access to read/write on the share. Otherwise this sounds like a corrupt samba file on the NAS. Try doing an OS reinstall as per this link, http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how ... _boot_menu. This will default the access on the share.
