Can I upgrade to a newer version of an NV+?

That's something I can do before I blow my brains out (figuratively).
'The Seatools running under Win 7 recognize and pass as ok drives 2-3-4 (500 GB Samsungs), but drive ! (the Barracuda), SeaTools won't recognize at all thru my Thermaltake 2-slot external bay. I cab hear the drive spinning up, but SeaTools - no matter how many times I refresh it - never sees it. So your suggestion sounds good.
I shall return with results.
