StephenB,
The NV+ - without the Barracuda - is now going thru a filesystem check. If the NV+ successfully boots, and I then shut it down & out in the Barracuda, what should I expect to see? The Kernal Panic again? If so, that proves the Barracuda is bad.
I do have the matching Samsung 500GB drive to the other 3. Could I use that in Slot1, bringing me back to 4-500GB drives? I've always upgraded the NV+, but never downgraded it.
Thanks to everyone for your technical help. My question really started withe me junking the NV+ and buying a working used one. If it turns out it's that darn Barracuda, then I'll really have egg on my face :)
