Cannot access admin password after upgrade to 6.2
Hello,
I have a RN31600 that I upgraded to OS6.2 last night. As usually the case with firmware upgrades and my NAS, I had to do the recovery option of reinstalling my OS to get it to boot. That seems to be the normal for me. Anyway. After I did that, the password was reset as I knew it would be but the default 'admin', 'password' combo does not work. Went into the recovery tool on line and successfully put in the correct email and hint and it says it sent me the password, but I am not getting it. Have verified it is not going to spam. Can see all my data and iSCSI is still working, just can't get to the admin page to reset the password. Suggestions?

- NhellieVirtuosoHave you tried clearing your browsers? Cookies? or tried using other browsers at least?
- RXLuminaryDoes same problem exist if you will use another PC/laptop to try to access the web-GUI of your RN316?
Have you tried rebooting your RN316 as well? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou shouldn't need to do an OS re-install that often.
Sounds like there is a software issue with your system.
Do you have a backup? - RogerolAspirantUpdate: Reinstalled the OS from the boot menu and was able to get in with admin, password. I am guessing that the password recovery tool sets the password and since mine was not sending me email I couldn't determine what the reset one was.
Thanks,
Roger - vandermerweMastermdgm is right, are you really having to do an OS reinstall after every firmware upgrade?
