Cannot delete files from Share
I have a ReadyNas Duo v2 running 5.3.11
I have a folder I use to backup documents. I am now unable to remove any of the files and folders in this directory. I have gone into shares and reset permissions. This has not corrected the problem. I have no users or security on the NAS.
I noticed there is a Beta from 2013. Would this address this problem? Or is there another way to correct this?
Short Answer: I had to go out for a few hours and now it's working. I don't know why it broke, and now I don't know why it started working. I did the reset permissions on the share and rebooted the NAS. Maybe it had to make a pass to reset each file(?).
But you're right StephenB, good catch. Http was enabled as a service, but not for the share.
It is now happily deleting 11,693 files. Thanks for all your help.

I don't have an OS 5 system, but I have found (with OS 4 and OS 6) that sometimes you can delete things using https that you can't delete using CIFS/SMB. So you might try enabling https access for the share, and attempt to delete from the browser interface.
A brute force approach would be to copy the entire share, and delete the folder in the copy. Then delete / recreate the share, and copy the data back.

Thanks Stephen. I have https enabled, but from Windows, how would I access the file system on the NAS? If I enter https://192.168.0.7 I get an empty 'Index of Website'.
