Cannot enter Time Machine hosted on ReadyNAS Pro from Lion

Yes. You can enable or disable local backups using the Terminal.
When you have the ReadyNAS share mounted to check how much space is used you could do e.g.
Then do
4.2.19 (currently in beta) contains newer Netatalk code than 4.2.18. It may be worth considering upgrading to see if that helps.

cd /Volumes/ReadyNAS
Then do
du -csh *.sparsebundle
