Can't Change Permissions with Windows Explorer

Normally you reset permissions using frontview. Look in the share listing, and select "cifs" then the advanced options tab (upper right)
Note the checkbox "Set ownership and permission for existing files and folders in this share to the above settings. This option is useful in cases where you are changing security levels and need to workaround file access problems."
set this, click apply on the bottom right. The checkbox will clear and after a bit you will get a pop-up telling you that the action is completed.
