Again, Many thanks for the reply mdgm.
Never used SSH or putty in my life. Initially putty kept closing when I logged in as admin. So I checked the putty log. I saw it was coming up with a "padre unknown" message
=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= PuTTY log 2012.05.10 21:36:22 =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=
login as: admin
admin@192.168.1.200's password:
Access denied <--- this was when I intentionally used wrong PW
admin@192.168.1.200's password:
Linux ReadyNAS 2.6.17.14ReadyNAS #1 Thu Sep 1 17:44:33 PDT 2011 padre unknown <---- this was with correct PW.
Putty window closes..
Then a quick google search told me I need to SSH in as root not admin. Woops.
So having logged in as root
=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= PuTTY log 2012.05.10 21:42:29 =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=
login as: root
root@192.168.1.200's password:
Linux ReadyNAS 2.6.17.14ReadyNAS #1 Thu Sep 1 17:44:33 PDT 2011 padre unknown
ReadyNAS:~# cd /c/.timemachine
ReadyNAS:/c/.timemachine# rm -rf *.sparsebundle
All worked a treat. Sparsebundle deleted in about 5 minutes regaining me 17% and 240GB. Thanks for helping me out.
