That serial number indicates that it is a Duo v1 hardware revision 2.
So you will need to look at the instructions for the Duo v1.

Thank you very much for the reply.
It does say on the front of the unit V2 however looking over the link the kindly provided the rear of the unit has the same layout as what the link is saying its the DUO v1.
So I am assuming it is a v1 model.
if you could you tell me how to reset so I can start again that woudl be great.

If the front panel says duo v2, then it should be a v2 (arm) platform. So I am somewhat confused. I'll include links to the hardware manuals for both products - the "boot menu" section has the details on the procedures for factory default and OS reinstall.
v1: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RND2110/Duov1_NV+v1_HW_en_06Dec11.pdf
v2: http://www.readynas.com/download/documentation/HM/ReadyNAS_Duov2_NV+v2_HW_en_19-Sept-11.pdf
You can do an OS reinstall that will reset the admin password and reset the IP address fo use dhcp. Data and the rest of the configuration is preserved. The admin password would be "netgear1" on the v1 platform and "password" on the v2 platform.
Or try the factory default, which will rebuild the NAS from scratch (and destroy any data on the NAS).
