Can't upgrade my RN102 from 6.1.8 to 6.1.9
Hi everybody !
I've got a little issue with my beloved RN102 :D
Until now I've never experienced any problem upgrading my RN102 (I think I did at least the last five of six updates).
But now I can't upgrade to 6.1.9.
The popup ask me to upgrade every time I log on to the interface. I submit, it tries to download, but the popup closes automatically after 10s (without any progress).
So I tried to download the upgrade, uncompress the zip file, upload the img on the preferences page and after it's uploaded (the browser stops loading), it just does nothing...
It looks like no errors are written in /var/log...
Does someone have any idea ?

- KaldorAspirantIt's weird, it looks like everything, everywhere, belongs to guest:guest
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredOdd. Try e.g.
# chown -R root:root /var/readynasd
# chown root:admin /var/readynasd/.flash_update_info
Then see if you can update the firmware using the browser again. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retired

What processes are running on your NAS?
Have you noticed any other problems e.g. performance issues?
Do forward any ports from the Internet to your NAS? - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserAre you running transmission? viewtopic.php?f=153&t=76617

I suppose that it isn't normal that everything belongs to guest (even / and /var that I just changed to root:root) ? - KaldorAspirant

Ho crap, yeah, I'm using transmission 3.0.6.
It isn't running currently but if I understang it messed with my configuration ?
I'll take some time to read the topic. - KaldorAspirantI upgraded Transmission to 3.0.8, so now it should work properply, but as my entire filesystem is set to guest:guest the problem will not be fixed.
Do I need to do a factory reset of the NAS ? Does it imply that I'll lost every data on the hard drives ? - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserHonestly I don't know what it takes to fix it - bacobart unfortunately didn't say exactly what he did. He apparently avoided a reset, based on this post: viewtopic.php?f=154&t=77701&p=434273#p434273
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWe really would recommend backing up your data and doing a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) then restore data from backup in situations like this.
- KaldorAspirantOk so that's what I'll do.
Thank you for you're help guys :)
