Correct read / write permission setup
Since my children now have a computer and access to my ReadyNAS shares i've finally decided to set up proper permissions on the share folders after i found a directory had been renamed to random chara...

Are AFP permissions a mystery to all then? :|
To add to the above, OSX Finder already states i'm "connected" as my "mcarter" user. But when I try to create a new folder in the root of my AFP share I get prompted for my password. If i enter a random password it shakes the dialog box and wants the password again. if I type in the correct password it tells me "The operation can't be completed because you don't have the necessary permission."
I'm stumped. :(
