Further to my previous message, I tried restarting my ReadyNAS Duo v2 and running the install script again, in case something about the environment variables wasn't set up correctly. Sure enough it started to work properly once I restarted the unit.
The original links filzip77 provided for the libmd5.so and libjtux.so files no longer work, but if you search for CrashPlan 3.6.3 on the Droboports site (link #2) you'll find them linked on the resulting page.
I'm using the Mac client, and on Mac, the file ui.properties is in ~/Library/Application Support/Crashplan. I found I had to add the host IP and port into that file rather than uncomment and edit them.
