Crashplan unable to connect
Hello there, I've moved house and ISP provider. Crashplan now fails to connecto to CrashPlan central. I can ping the internet from the NAS, the service seems up and no specific errors logged that...

yes, I was supposed to do that a long time ago!
Could you remind me how I do that?

Create a new folder on the data volume for it.
Then you can edit my.service.xml to use the new location. More details are here: https://support.code42.com/CrashPlan/4/Troubleshooting/Reassigning_Cache_Folder_To_A_Different_Directory

Well, after 7 long days nobody was replying from Code42 I ended up on their forums where a support manager was apologising with customers for 20 days backlog and recommended going for a chat... :(
I chatted with them, confirmed the account was not being accessed since the day I moved out but no more help could be offered on a headless setup - at least I know their side is ok.
I still feel there may be something on my router, I can't believe the NAS is working and Crashplan is not! I've temporarily set the IP of the NAS on DMZ zone, no change.
I still have trouble connecting via sFTP - most of the time it times out - when it then connects it's fine. While it's timing out I can browse the NAS via Windows with no delays.
Copying a big file from the NAS to my SSD it goes at about 98MB/s flat out. I'm lost.

Right, I'll punish me in some ways...
THE DNS SERVERS!!! Somehow Virgin Media needed some strange DNS - not the router itself. I had forgotten about that and the DNS page is not where you set the IP of the NAS.
Groan. I'm now reinstalling - I realised I could not resolve names when the Crashplan installer could not download Java...
And now... why I do not have the ui.info under /var/lib/crashplan? - answer: because it's hidden and WinSCP which I downloaded to see if Filezilla was my problem does not show hidden files by default. About to launch the NAS in the space now...
