Delete Thumbs file?
As I cleanup and move files I regularly come across a folder I can not delete as it contains a "Thumbs" "Database file"
And I see nothing in the folder. I leave it a while and maybe the next day it delete's or maybe not.
Has anyone seen this before? Any idea why or how I can solve this issue?
It's a share access via win7, I reset folder permission etc.
Thank You in advance
Shawn

- StephenBGuru - Experienced Userthumbs.db is a hidden file that Windows creates - here is a link: http://www.techsupportalert.com/content ... indows.htm
As the link suggests, you can tell Windows not to create them, which of course will "solve" the problem.
As you found, one workaround is to wait a bit and try again. You can also try deleting the folder from the web interface. - takagariAspirantI'm unsure how you could delete from the web interface I'm unable to manage files?
I'll see if I can get window's to stop making the useless things.
Thank You - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserIf http sharing is enabled, you can try entering http://nasname/webshare in your browser.
- takagariAspirantThat just opens my Transmission web ap,
I hope they release a file manager for this thing soon :( - StephenBGuru - Experienced User
Then you probably didn't turn http access on. See page 38 of your user manual (Access Shares Using HTTP with Webshare). http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/ ... 5Sep12.pdftakagari wrote: That just opens my Transmission web ap,
