Device not registered or recognized
I thought everything was working fine until I tried to connect via the browser from a new computer on the network. It's running Win7 and is still not recognizing the file server via ReadyCloud even though it often does see it as a storage device on the network.
Today, I can no longer access the file server from the original computer (running Windows 10) where it was first found. So I can still use it as a file storage device, but can't get to the admin page any more to do all the other things I need to do.
I've held down the backup button multiple times, nothing happens. Right now it's basically just an expensive brick.

Are you saying https://nas-ip-address/admin fails in your browser (using the real nas ip address)? Or are you saying that the readycloud portal doesn't see your NAS?

I can see the website folder I created using https://readynas-ip-address, yes. I put a simple index.html in that share and can see it just fine. I can also see the file server as a storage device on the Homegroup network I set up. I realized that I could get to the admin page via https://ip-address/admin, so I've been doing that. But I can't access it via readycloud.netgear.com any more.
I'm fine with just using the ip address for everything, but others in the company would prefer to use their browser for access.
The other problem I'm having is that I can access the website folder via ftp, but the file I uploaded to it from the browser isn't visible and when I try to upload it again via ftp, I get the message that the folder permissions won't allow it. Yet the folder is set to read/write permission for admin.
