That email shouldn't have been sent to you (but your Duo v2 is also EOL).

That email was meant for our customers with legacy x86 units.

I have a ReadyNAS Duo.

Is it fair to presume that I also should not have received the email inviting me to upgrade to 4.2.28?

Yes. Though I wouldn't expect any more updates to the Duo firmware either.
