Thanks for the reply Stephen. Using the direct-connect on both port 2's (on a separate subnet) does actually work like a charm (speed-wise), but by adding a switch (and a new subnet) just going to add an extra hop to the link? Is the ReadyNas smart enough to use the shortest route/interface if both are on the same subnet? With the exception of the gateway "bug" (which it is, IMO a bug) it works fine.
