Disk failure

Have you contacted support?
Do you have a backup?
Are you certain you have a v1?
Did you actually replace the failed disk or just take it out? Did you try replacing the failed disk?
How did you know that the disk had failed?
Which disk did you attempt to read? If you have a Duo v1 you will only be able to directly read data from disk 1. You'd need to use something like: http://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/
