Disk failure
Hi, I read post about that, but didn't find answer to my problem. My readynas duo v1 won't boot up anymore. It start, then the fan start like an airplane but I will never be able to access to the ...

Here my answer to your question :
Have you contacted support? > Not yet, we are sunday and I spend the last 5 hours trying to find a solution !
Are you certain you have a v1? > yes I am ;-)
Did you actually replace the failed disk or just take it out? > I just took it out, I don't have a replacement disk (I will send the failed one tomorrow to the reseller)
Did you try replacing the failed disk? > Nop, just dont have an other hard drive this size
How did you know that the disk had failed? > I plug it on other computer, and it can't be read at all. It make some big "click click" when I plug it, then it stops running
Which disk did you attempt to read? > both of them, but I don't know if it is disk one or disk two.
If you have a Duo v1 you will only be able to directly read data from disk 1 > does that mean, maybe I won't be able to recover my data ? What is the use of x-raid in this case ?
I will try the linux reader now !
Edit : I tried linuxreader but the C folder is still empty !
