Hi I had this problem when I got my 1st readynas duo v1.
The issue was not the nas but my router. I simply purchased a netgear 5 port gigabit switch and plugged the switch between my router and my devices.
The discovery of the NAS was hit and miss - it would show up all the time on the pc but only occassionaly on the ps3. At the time I purchased this solely to stream vids via a PS3 to my tv.
Over the years I've expanded my network - everything is connected via netgear switches (1x5 & 2x8). One of them plug into the router for internet access.
I have NO issues picking up the readynas dlna server and services on all my devices - TV (Panansonic GT30 - inbuilt DLNA client), PC's wired & Wireless, PS3 wired via homeplug (connected to a switch at the other end), Android tablets & phone.
The ONLY issues I've had is with media format playback.
I did a post on how to stream MKV files wirelessly without re-encoding to an android device.
