Have you tested if you can pull a video from the computer to your television and see if the same problem?
Plex media might also help.

The video from the PC working properly.
I tried Plex, subsonic, neromediahome and always the same problem.
Today I've been playing with the MTU of the network card and depends on the value, the problem is aggravated or improvement. I will try to find the value that works best.
Before RN104 had a 1-bay NAS zyxel that cost me 50 € and did not have these problems, the NAS used Twonky and all perfecte.
