Does the ReadyNas 100 offer power on restart?
I have a ReadyNAS Duo and am looking at replacing it as it is getting old. My one criticism of that box is that after a power failure, it does not reboot so someone has to be there to push the start ...

I don't think you answered my question. I'm guessing that your answer is that "no, current products do not have a power on boot capability." If so, there must be others facing this same issue.
My RN202 (and I think the RN102) will restart on their own if I pull the plug and then re-insert it. Though I haven't needed to do that with 6.4.x, I believe that is still the behavior.
But If they shut down normally for any reason (including a UPS power critical event), I need to push the power button. I believe WoL can be used to boot them remotely, but I haven't tried that. Some people have asked for different behavior as an option, so far Netgear hasn't provided it.

That sounds like the answer I am looking for. My situation is that when I replace an aging ReadyNAS Duo I want to know that the unit I buy will have a way to boot itself when power is restored after a hard power failure. My desktop PC and server both operate this way, but the ReadyNAS does not. I was unable to find any discussion of that in the product specs.
Are you a Netgear person? If yes, do you know if there is a product spec that would answer that question? (I'd hate to buy the RN102 and replace the ReadyNAS Duo only to find out it didnt work.)

I don't work for Netgear.

In case anyone else is looking at this question, I found the following answer in a hardware manual for the ReadyNAS 102.
If the power supply is interrupted due to a power failure, the system returns to its last state when the power supply is restored:
- If the system was powered on at the time of the power failure, the system powers on when the power supply is restored.
- If the system was powered off at the time of the power failure, the system remains off when the power supply is restored.
