Dropbox Folder Structure

Edit: It seems this was already covered decently in this topic: https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyNAS-Beta-Release/Dropbox-on-OS-6-5-RC1/m-p/1079659#U1079659

Hi,

We want to move our existing Dropbox folder to the NAS for various reasons, so I set up the app and applied it to a new designated share that I had copied all the existing files to as to minimise downloading. Then I made some test files to test the sync.

For a while I thought it wasn't working. Then I realised that it had created some arbitrary subfolder directory in Dropbox that went 3 levels deep and, as far as I could tell, the only way to make Dropbox work on ReadyNAS is to move all existing files and folders into the bottom of that obnoxious directory.

I guess the idea is that people would only want to share a specific part of their Dropbox with the ReadyNas, although that strikes me as defeating the purpose of having it on a NAS in the first place. Even then, you'd only need one subfolder, not three.

Is there a more elegant solution available? Third-party, perhaps?

Thanks
