Duo v1 - Update to 4.1.12 - no access, even not with SSH
I have the same problem as badbrad1 in the thread http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=71858, but in my case SSH is installed, and so is PHP.
I tried to access the ReadyNAS via Putty with user=admin and my password for the Frontview GUI. The login is apparently accepted, but Putty closes immediately and nothing more happens.
What can I do?

- kevinw1AspirantMy first post here so I'd better start by saying "Hi".
I am having the same problem as Wilco87 in that I managed to downgrade the system to 4.1.10 but when I try step 4 this happens:
Holly:~# /usr/sbin/apache-ssl -f /etc/frontview/apache/httpd.conf -k restart
apache-ssl: Syntax error on line 283 of /etc/frontview/apache/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 1 of /etc/frontview/apache/Ports.conf: Syntax error on line 2 of /etc/frontview/apache/addons/zz_wordpress.vhost: Cannot load /usr/lib/apache2/modules/libphp5.so into server: /usr/lib/apache2/modules/libphp5.so: undefined symbol: xmlTextReaderSetup
Holly:~#
I then renamed the PHP module and tried to start Frontview which failed thus:Holly:~# cd /etc/init.d
Holly:/etc/init.d# ./frontview start
Starting frontview: apache-sslapache-ssl: Syntax error on line 283 of /etc/frontview/apache/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 1 of /etc/frontview/apache/Ports.conf: Syntax error on line 2 of /etc/frontview/apache/addons/zz_wordpress.vhost: Cannot load /usr/lib/apache2/modules/libphp5.so into server: /usr/lib/apache2/modules/libphp5.so: undefined symbol: xmlTextReaderSetup
Holly:/etc/init.d#
I'm not sure if this is still relevant but the output of the LS mdgm asked for is:
Holly:~# ls -la /etc/frontview/apache/addons
total 40
drwxr-xr-x 2 admin admin 4096 Sep 12 10:47 .

I confess I'm getting close to just reinitialised the NAS and starting again but it's holding about 4.5TB of back-up data which will take a very long time to re-copy so any assistance will be gratefully received.
Thank you.
Kevin - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDo this as well:
# mv PHP5.conf PHP5.conf.old - kevinw1AspirantI don't think that has made any difference I'm afraid. I wasn't sure which command that was trying to fix so I ran them both.

Kevin - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou might need to rename the WordPress ones as well.
- kevinw1AspirantSame result.
Thanks for trying but I think it's time for me to bite the bullet and reinitialise it.
Kevin - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSame result? You should have different output. What output do you get now?
- kevinw1AspirantSorry, I meant same result as in both commands still failed.

Kevin - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSo you need to edit the /etc/frontview/apache/Ports.conf file
- kevinw1AspirantWell editing that file was a voyage of discovery but it seems to be up and running.
I've deleted every add-on except ReadyNAS Remote on the grounds it is no longer our primary NAS so I don't need them.
Thanks very much for your help, that saved me a lot of time setting it all up again.
Kevin - SaintaholicAspirantI have a similar problem.
I allowed my ReadyNas Duo V1 to 'update' automatically today and ended up with 4.1.12
I now have NO frontview.
I have full access to RAIDar. I am unable to connect with PuTTy.
It comes back with network connection error. I have rebooted Readynas more than 10 times.
I just want it back to what is was.
Please help
