ECC Memory for ReadyNAS 6 Ultra Plus
Can anywone who has upgraded their ReadyNAS 6 Ultra Plus to 8 GB RAM (ECC preferable) share the spect, brand and model of the memory modules that are compatible.
I currently have 4 GB of non-ECC RAM installed on my NAS: Patriot Signature Line 4GB 2x2GB DDR2 800 PC2 6400 Memory Kit PSD24G800
However I would like to bring it to 8 GB ECC memory and tried these: MICRON 4GB DDR2 PC2-6400P SERVER MEMORY MT36HTF51272PZ-80EH1
But NAS would not boot when they are installled.

The Ultra6Plus and Pro6 (same motherboard) do not support ECC RAM. They also do not support memory in the 2Rx4 (aka high density) configuration of that memory.
4GB PC2-6400 non-ECC 2Rx8 memory is hard to find and expensive when you do because desktop Windows of the era didn't support >4GB of memory.
A quick look at eBay shows one seller with a pair for under $50.
