EDA500 disk spin-down - is it supported in OS6?
I have an RN316 on Firmware 6.6.1 and connected an EDA500 expansion chasis with 5 drives (all on the EDA500 HCL) to eSATA Port 1.
In the Disk Spin-down section of the Power menu, "Enable disk spin-down after 30 minutes of inactivity" is checked along with the "All the time" radio button.
Looking at RAIDar (and feeling the chasis humming vibration), the drives in the RN316 chasis go into sleep mode (displayed as "[Sleeping]", but the drives in the EDA500 do not.
spindown.log also contains "Enabling spindown for disk X" lines for the internal drive model numbers.
Is disk spin-down supported in the EDA500?
If it's supported, how is it enabled?
If it's not supported, can it be added in the future?
