Expansion and encryption on RN104
Hello, I have the RN104 (firmware 6.2.2) My drives are: 1x1TB Western Digital Red - WD10EFRX 2x4TB Western Digital Red - WD40EFRX. First I created a X-RAID volume with encryption on 1TB disk. ...
Just noticed this post by skywalker (netgear) from last April.

If this is still true, then the way forward is to replace your 1 TB drive with a 4 TB model, or do a factory reset with 2x4TB in place (which will delete data, apps, etc).
This appears to be an expansion limitation, not a volume size issue.
