Expansion limit RN104
I have two 1 TB Seagate Barracuda disks that i removed from my Duo V1 when expanding to 2x2 TB, and now i am thinking about getting a RN104 and put these 2 disks in this. Does the 8 TB expansion li...

Yes I would wipe the 2x1TB and then stick them in the new 104 and let it build from scratch then add the bigger drives later. Then as you add bigger drives and dont need them swap them out....its what I did.
I do agree with Stephen the WD reds are great. I have had various drives and ended up running my RN104 with a mix of Samsung 1TB drives (that originally came free with a RN duo) and WD red's. I've now just got WD reds and I have to say I do notice the difference in volume. The new RN104 was quiter than my old Duo but with the Red's in it is quieter still.
