Ext3 ? Fat32 ? or Exfat

Hi Peops

Here is my question in a nutshell ..

I am a mac user and the happy owner of a readynas nv + I been doing backup of my data from the readynas for a long time using compatible hard disks through frontview. I been backing up using the format EXT3 withs work perfectly :) BUT......

1.Let say that im in need to access my backup from my home computer in my case (Mac) This is not possible since I can´t mount a Ext3 disk on Mac os :( I tried to find ext reader without any luck .
2. I then thought let´s just use Fat32 on the disks that way problem solved . BUT ... I kept getting errors re. file name issues + Im nervous about file size limitation.

3. Then I read about exfat I wanted to give a go.. BUT.. Since I can´t format my disk through frontview to exfat I had to format it from my disk utility on my mac . Easy done.. BUT.. My backup job is getting error about Apple Double s and since I have to format my bu disks through mac os I guess this will keep on happening ..

So What to Do

Please Help

Many Thanks

M
