Fails to Boot

Netgear Support has decided that this is a hardware failure and has agreed to "swap" the unit. I have asked about what is included in the swap and if there is anyway that I can keep the disk, insert them in the "new" unit and recover the data - my backups are a week older than the data on the disks. I know, I should go to a daily versus weekly backup schedule.
