I onlly mentioned FAT32 becuase I had seen this issue with copying from Dropbox to an SD card and that was the issue then. When I got the RN102 I just loaded two brand new 2TB Seagate drives following the KB article Adding a disk to desktop models and powered it up. After the control panel said it had finished building the volumes I ran a backup job to copy my old NAS shares onto the new one. I assumed from all the time it took to do the initial build that the discs ad been low level formatted and were ready for use, I hope I didn't miss a step!

Hi AdrianM,
Thanks for clearing it up. With these steps that you did on your ReadyNAS 102 unit, it's been properly setup and should work fine with no problem. In any case you encounter such problem or if you have any question, just update or post it on this thread.
Kind regards,
BrianL
