Firefly and itunes server

How do I get Firefly to see my iTunes files on my NV+ ? I turned on the streaming server option and in iTunes it shows an iTunes server but its empty. I see that in the configuration that its looking for c/media/music but where is this located? I dont have media listed in any of my shares on frontview

The music folder is on the media share.

Login to the NAS as admin (e.g. connect to \\ip.address.of.nas on Windows), open the c share and browse to your music. That will tell you the path you need to change it to

    e.g. perhaps something like: /c/home/supershanefx/music

Connect to SMB or CIFS as the "admin" user.

    It will either be the
"NAS-NAME" advertisement or if you have Time Machine enabled the

"NAS-NAME (CIFS)" advertisement you see in the sidebar in the Finder.
  • Hello,

Does anyone have experience with accessing your music ReadyNAS RN 104 outside of home network through itunes?

I can access music using itunes on the home network but would like to access while away from home.

I have read a few posts and attempted to change ports on my comcast router and downloaded firefly but I cannot figure out how to get the music to play.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There are at least four ways you can play music or videos remotely.

    (a) Enable https access to the share, and play through your browser.
    (b) use an streamer that uses FTP (for instance AV Player HD). That particular player is better suited to video.
    (c) use the ReadyDLNA app for your mobile device
    (d) use the Plex app for your mobile device.

    For music, I suggest plex.
