Folders missing when backing up folder on PC to Readycloud

Using a ReadyNas 104 with 4 WD Red 3TB discs in Raid 5.  Windows 10.  Desktop ReadyCloud Client v1.12.

when i use the desktop app to back up a folder, say for example

D:\Users\user\My Documents

The backup seems to run for a while and then it sais "All files up to date" as indicated by the green check mark.  But closer inspection by opening the folder on the NAS reveals that the majority of folders have not been backed up.  This is obviously not ideal as the app clearly indicates that all files are backed up when in fact they are not

I have tried this with 2 different user accounts on 2 different computers.  What could be the issue?  There is lots of space on the NAS.  Files are nothing special, just folders and documents.  Is there any thing that forces the client to "exclude" an entire folder?

    Hello schwizer,

Have you checked if these folders that were not backed up to the NAS have any permissions? Also, what is the current firmware version?

    Regards,

      Latest firmware 6.5.1.

Here is what i have tried.

      1) copy all files & folders from "My Documents" to a folder on the desktop and then back up that desktop folder with the desktop app the same way. This works, the desktop app backs up all the files in the new location

      2)  log into admin page and delete the "My Documents" folder from the web interface by typing "DESTROY" and then go back to desktop app, syncronize (My documents) folder is gone from desktop app and then try to sync it again.  The desktop app says imediately sync complete but when i click the folder on the desktop app,the ReadyNas folder opens and it's empty.

      Any ideas?

Oh sorry and the permissions were the same on both folders the one that worked and the one that didnt except for one permission for the homegroup (the documents folder is shared with home group).

3 permissions for each folder, one for the system, one for my username and one for Administrators
