After some months messing around I still can't get into my ReadyNas through my VPN Tunnel. I've tried everything I could find on Google and nothing works. Have now fitted a used G4 Xserve which does the job (also you can set up a RAID on the spare discs). I did try and use OpenVpn on the ReadyNas but lost the will to live. Just me probably, I can do anything on Macs but anything else gives me a headache. At least that's what I tell PC users who ask me to mend them.
One workaround is to create a disc image on a ReadyNas share and mount it on the Server Mac (use the login items so it mounts at startup), You can now access the mounted disc image via the tunnel. Put any files you want to access in there.
Shame I couldn't VPN into the ReadyNas, as otherwise it's a fine piece of gear.
