FW 4.1.9: Unable to install Midnight commander (MC)
I have just installed firmware 4.1.9, applied root/SSH addon and apt-get addon.
I am trying to install usual Midnight commander.
I have done:
apt-get update
apt-get install mc
Update completed successfully, but installation has this course of action:
Ok, I did "apt-get -f install" as told:
And this is where I finished. I know that smbclient is not server, but who the hell knows if frontview will try to use it or anything else. I am just not ok with removing packages that were originally installed with firmware.
UPDATE:
I have just downloaded mc_4.7.0.9-1_sparc.deb to try install it directly. I executed "dpkg -install mc_4.7.0.9-1_sparc.deb" with this result:
At least this a little revealed what is going on.
Is there any better (and working) way to install mc on ReadyNas with FW4.1.9? Like adding more depositories or something..

Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
mc: Depends: libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.6.0) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libgpmg1 (>= 1.19.6-1) but it is not going to be installed
smbclient: Depends: samba-common (= 3.0.37.netgear2) but 2:3.5.15-netgear1 is to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

The following packages will be REMOVED:
smbclient
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 71 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B of archives.
After unpacking 9081kB disk space will be freed.
